OUTLINE:
To give people an insight into how to work more
effectively with others who may have (very) different
personality styles.
People are more productive and less frustrated as they gain a
deeper understanding of themselves and their colleagues and
successfully apply different communication strategies with
others. They will gain an understanding of their own team
dynamics, this leads to increased understanding and cooperation
between people and a more pleasant and productive
working environment.

CONTENT:
Most people
are fascinated by an understanding of their own personality style. This module
gives them a simple, practical and
proven approach to doing just that.
To develop an understanding of self and how I may be seen
by others
To recognise my strengths and weaknesses
To recognise others' behavioural styles
To meet the needs of others by understanding their
personal needs better and by acting on theses needs
To explore effective strategies in dealing with different or
even difficult” people or colleagues and to realise the
benefits of a team approach.

teams, especially where existing groups or organisations are merged.

IDEAL NUMBERS:
Groups
of 15-50 in teams of 7-12 people |
THE LOCATION:
Hotel
or venue of your choice. Mainly internal activity. |

One or two days. |

HOW IT WORKS:
To
begin the group spends 3-4 hours in a workshop where they identify
their own personality style through individual 'Insights Discovery
Profiles'. The workshop investigates the natural behaviours of
individuals in relation to their job so delegates develop an understanding
of their own behavioural style, how to recognise the behavioural
skills of others and how to adapt behaviour to develop a greater
understanding of others.
In the second part of the day this is put to practical use as
they each 'audition' for a role in the film unit, the roles allocated
by consensus of each team. The teams then go on to create their
own short film using the Mini Film Day format.
At the end of the day (or subsequently) the group gets a full
debriefing on how each of them performed under the pressures of
film making on a tight schedule. |
