An
essential part of
any team building experience is the recognition of effort
and
rewarding competitive spirit. The 'Oscars' ceremony
recognises achievement on two levels:
- The personal contribution and achievement of individuals
- The achievement of each team as a whole.
Our 'standard' awards ceremony begins after dinner when your teams
are feeling relaxed, but still buzzing with the excitement of
the day. The ceremony kicks off with the screening each of the
films in turn introduced by the relevant producer from each team.
Any interesting, funny or particularly embarrassing out-takes
from the day are shown at this point. We then move on to the awards
- all films are nominated for each category but there can be only
one winner in each. Categories include: Best Captions, Best Special
Effect, Best Leading Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Script,
Best Cinematography, Best Director and of course, Best Film. If
your group is up for it we can add a few spurious categories relating
to the events of the day. These might include: Best Use of an
unusual Prop, Most Ridiculous Moustache and Most Gratuitous Sex
Scene (there's always one!).
On a more serious note we often precede these awards with the
'Team Awards' which recognises outstanding achievement in teamwork,
leadership, resourcefulness, creativity, problem-solving and team
commitment. |
